Welcome to Dr. Reza Rahimi’s Personal Webpage

Reza Rahimi is a petroleum engineer by discipline. Rahimi held various research, engineering, and operational positions in the areas of offshore drilling, well construction, and geomechanics over the course of his career in the Oil & Gas industry. He received his Ph.D. and master’s degrees in petroleum engineering from the Missouri University of Science & Technology and a bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering from the University of Petroleum Technology. Rahimi is an active member of professional societies such as Society of Petroleum Engineer (SPE), American Association of Drilling Engineers (AADE), and American Rock Mechanics Association (ARMA). Rahimi is a member of the SPE TWA Editorial Committee. He founded the ARMA Missouri S&T student chapter and served as president for two consecutive years. After the nosedive of crude oil price in 2014, he decided to follow his passion in the world of data with a focus on developing intelligent algorithms and forecasting models. Currently, he works in a major Biotech company as a Principal Deep Learning/AI Engineer. Dr. Rahimi is advocating clean energy despite his professional background in the black gold industry and believes in a bright future of our world with more accessible and affordable electric energy.
